　ダルビッシュが大リーグ初登板で初勝利をおさめました。JT（04/11/12付）にあった，ダルビッシュのコメントの中から英語表現を拾いたいと思います。

"Mentally, I was very calm, but my body felt like it wanted to go and go and go," Darvish said through his translator. "At the beginning of the game, my mind and my body kind of weren't on the same page."

　my mind and my body kind of weren't on the same pageの箇所をどのように訳出すればいいでしょうか。be on the same pageを辞書で引くと，「（問題・目標に対して）共通理解がある，同じ考え方をしている」とあります（『スーパーアンカー英和辞典』学研）。しかしながら，ここでこの訳を当てはめてもしっくりきません。LDOCEを見てみると．if a group of people are on the same page, they are working well together and have the same aimとあり，主に人が主語の場合に使われているのだといえます。今回の英文では，人が主語ではないために自然な日本語にならないのでしょう。心と体は共通理解は持たないので，ここでは「心と体が一致する」程度の感覚だといえます。したがって，「精神面と肉体面のバランスがやや不安定だった」といっや感じでしょうか。
　また，辞書の例文を見てみると，次のような例文が挙げられています。

e.g. The manager and his staff are not on the same page.（『スーパーアンカー英和辞典』同上）
e.g. We need to get environmentalists and businesses on the same page to improve things.（LDOCE）

　on the same pageはビジネスや会議の場でもよく使われる表現だといえます。
